Your account
An account is optional. It exists for one reason: so your progress follows you to another browser or another device.
What an account does and doesn't do
- Does: keeps your completed lessons, streak, review pile and Word Arena best in sync across devices.
- Does: lets you appear on the Word Arena leaderboard, under a nickname you choose.
- Doesn't: unlock anything. Every lesson, game and tool works exactly the same signed out.
- Doesn't: collect anything extra. Only the progress your browser already stored, plus a nickname.
- Doesn't: show your email to anyone. It is never stored in a table other users can read.
Prefer no account at all? The progress page lets you export a backup file and import it anywhere. That has always worked and still does.
