Practice rounds — no score, no board

These keep a score for the round you are playing and nothing else. They are also listed on the practice page, which is where they belong when you are working rather than competing.

Word games

Seven ways to drill the same vocabulary — flip it, hear it, type it, rebuild it. Pick a topic, then pick a game. Your selected topic and game stay visibly highlighted.

Grammar Challenge

A different game: fill-in-the-blank sentences across cases, tenses, aspect and prepositions — Mieszkam w ___ . (Warszawa). Three lives, and the difficulty is the grammar, not the vocabulary.

About the word list

Two numbers appear on this page and they count different things. The practice rounds below draw on 10418 words across 27 topics. Word Arena keeps its own pool of 966 — the same list minus the entries it already had, since its topics were curated separately. Both come from one place in site-config.js, so neither can drift.

The list grew from 198 to just over a thousand in August 2026. Every new entry is checked by machine for duplicates, swapped columns and clashes that would make Match unplayable — but the Polish itself is still being refined, and no native speaker has gone through it yet. If a translation looks wrong to you, report it.
